Ok ill give you some background info first. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for two months he is living far away at the moment but is coming for a visit. My parents do not know about him. He is 4yrs old then me( Don't worry about my age I'm 17 which is above the age of consent in my state.) It would be the first time he would meet my parents, but my parents are very conservative Even though they are 4yrs apart as well. They are very protective of me since I'm the youngest. I have given them no reason not to trust me but I'm afraid of how they will react. Should he meet them or should I keep him to myself for a while longer?
I think you need to tell them about him first. I don't think you should wait any longer, because the longer the wait the more suspicious they may be and that's all the more reason not to trust you. In their minds they'll wonder why you were trying to hide him in the first place. I would first tell your parents about him and ask them if they want to meet him. That way they can see that he's not so bad.
