So I like my best friend David, and I have liked him forever, but he likes my friend, but she doesn't like him. Whenever I ask my friends for advice they all say the same thing. They all say just flirt with him, but I'm shy and I don't flirt all that much. Please help me?

The same thing happened to me, but from David's point of view. I really wanted to get with one of my friends, but she wasn't interested, and her friend liked me. I didn't like the best friend at first, but she kept talking to me and calling and not exactly flirting, but we started to become way better friends than I was with the girl I was into originally. But eventually, I started to appreciate who she was, and pretty soon I had forgotten all about the first girl and was totally in love with the second. So my advice would be, just be persistent. You don't have to flirt, but be friendly, and try to talk to him a lot. Flirting a little would probably speed up the process though.
I think that you should kinda give him hints that you like him, make your friends do that too. But you know what, everything happens if its meant to be.
Just be your self around him and if he really likes you you will eventually be able to tell. Also if he likes your friend he might like you too because you two are probably a lot alike.
OMG I'm just like you! Whenever I like someone I never tell him "never" and then I feel so bad because I didn't tell him but my shyness is stronger. So I wouldn't be the right person to give you advice.
First off, this guy likes your friend. He might like you too, but he's not showing it... right? Try to hang out with him more and talk to him. Flirting isn't everything. Be nice and helpful. And whatever you do, do not spread rumors about your friend or try to do anything else that will get David to not like her anymore. This will only cause you trouble, and a bad girl reputation.
If you have been friends for a while you could always tell him how you feel but be very careful! Because I was in the same spot as you. Just be prepared to hear that he doesn't feel the same way about you and if you are really good friends I would not date him nor tell him how you feel. It could just mess up the relationship you might have had!
I agree with PureFury, just be the friend he needs you to be, hang around more than normal, be a little bit girlier than normal. My boyfriend used to think of me as one of the guys because I was always acting like one when I was with them. Just be yourself, but be sexy and confident while doing it. Figure out what he needs and what he wants and be it. He will realize what a top girl you are and begin to pay attention to you instead of the other one.
Women are ridiculed or ostracized for not being in a relationship. We have that ever-ticking biological clock. We are ridiculed if we are unmarried after a certain age. It seems okay for men to be...
With more women in the competitive work force, and more women making these assertive moves towards men, I think men feel it is safe to expect that more women will be paying for dates. Even though that...
