is it too bad to date a chick with the above number, I mean personality aside, but would the BMI in itself turn off?

Prettygirl,
I can tell you for a fact that many men are not deterred by such a number. More men than people think actually PREFER such a body type. My wife is of a similar build and I think she is the hottest thing on Earth. I have a very good physique, so it wasn't like I was "going for what I could get" or anything. Sexy is something you can exude from your personality, your body language, your words and your overall demeanor. Besides, if it does turn a guy off, he's too shallow to date!

Ok I feel kinda stupid for asking, maybe I know what it means but I'm not sure. So here I go, what is BMI?

punchxcore BMI = body mass index.

Thing that sucks about BMI is they don't take into consideration your body composition, just how much you weigh. So you could weigh 200 and have a lot of muscle, but it will still tell you because you weigh 200 lbs regardless, that you're BMI is 30+ and you fall in the obese category. It doesn't take into consideration body composition, muscle mass, water weight, etc. - 2 months ago

bmi is shit, I'm 30 or 31 for mine. I'm 172 and 5'4. A number isn't going to turn guys off the way you hold yourself might.

BMI is a crock. It goes by your weight, so if you weigh more but you have more muscle, there's no way for the charts to gauge that. Like my BMI is like .5 away from being considered overweight and I weigh 185, but I have more muscle mass from years of playing softball, so I don't even look like I weigh as much as I do. BMI was mainly created for insurance purposes to gauge if someone was a health risk or not and it's mainly used for people who lead sedentary lifestyles, not those that are physically active.

I don't think guys would notice your BMI number some probably don't even know what it means, they just look at your body and judge if they are attracted to it or not.

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 12 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
Honestly, it doesn't matter as long as the guy planned something and put effort into it. Of course I wouldn't mind having dinner down in the city wearing a little black dress and then going for a walk on a really nice night. I'm not a high maintenance kind of woman and the most simple and real things make me happy!

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
Probably a lot. I believe in complete openness and honesty right away. He'd probably know that I like cars too much and I am confident in what I've accomplished this far... and I'm not telling any more ;)

Would you date me?
