I've known this guy for about a year and a half. We started out as debate classmates, and now we're both in college and out on our own. We've started hanging out a lot recently, and he's taken to calling me a lot around 11 pm. He's gotten very open with his past, his hopes, his dreams, and emotions. Normally, I would think he was interested. The only problem is he is unlike any guy I've ever known. He's naturally open, sweet, caring and sensitive to the needs of those around him. He is the most respectful person I have ever known and REFUSES to make the first move - which he has said, in passing, on occasions. My problem is, I have no idea if he likes me. And, quite honestly, I've laid out hints, I've flirted. and I still feel like he's sending out mixed messages. HELP!
He likes you. Him telling you that he refuses to make the first move is him basically telling "MAKE THE FIRST MOVE". Hinting back is only going to put you two into a complete stall! Trust me, I've been there. I've been him. And I messed it up. So make the move!
