I have too much self respect to date someone ugly as I couldn't be attracted to them physically. The hot one with the ugly personality on the other hand I could deal with in short increments, like one night stands or maybe going out for drinks or something. Neither would be long term relationship material though.
I would be THRILLED to find a guy that is average looks and great personality. I have tried both your options and they both leave a lot to be desired. If you date a guy who is ugly then he is most likely gonna be insecure and also you're gonna have to keep explaining to people why you're with him. Plus the sex will suck. If you date a really great looking guy who has a shitty personality he will be so into himself that he doesn't focus on you enough and once again you'll have to expalin to everyone in your life why you are with such a jerk. Go for the guy who is well groomed and average looking that can make you laugh. Seriously, one of the biggest factors should be how funny a guy is because life can get depressing and if a guy can always make you laugh then no matter what he's an asset to your life.
Ah and dating someone is actually about their appearance, I mean it's just dating! but when you marry it's about the persona. So yeah for dating I'd pick the attractive one with bad ass lol
If I had to choose between one of the 2 I would probably choose the ugly person because even the ugliest person can become more attractive the more you love them.
I have to have physical attractions to a guy. If he is arrogant or has an "ugly" personality it'd probably end very soon after it started. You can't make a person changer who they are so there isn't a point in sticking around to try.
