so I work with this guy (different office but we work together on A LOT of projects) and we cuddled on a work trip out of state about 6 months ago (he initiated it) but he had a Girlfriend at the time> Since then him and his girlfriend have split and we are still friends. We never talked about that night at all either. We flirt all the time via email while at work (he usually cracks jokes and stuff and he adds stupid smiley faces to everything) and whenever we talk on the phone we always crack stupid jokes and laugh and also send each other texts. And every time I invite him anywhere he says yes. However, he never takes the initiative to invite me anywhere, except to work events. I feel like he does like me (the way I catch his eye at a party, the way he responds to my emails) but I'm horrible at reading these signs.

Im scared that if I tell him how I feel Ill mess up our professional relationship but we've been friends now about 8 months and I cant take anymore not saying anything.how should I tell him? Should I tell him?

Everyone likes attention, and flirting is of course sexy and attractive and makes you feel wanted, and if you are with someone it is a connection to the single world, or a confidence booster knowing that you "still have it". And perhaps there is a real desire to be with you on his side of things, or maybe he is a player.

Regardless, if you are going to "tell him how you feel" you have the wrong mindset. If you tell him "how you feel" he is going to run, because he already has one girlfriend, he may think you would be a better one, and may want to truly be with you, but he would have taken the necessary steps to do something about it if he really wanted it.

Pass it off as casual, guys like casual. Try saying something like, "too bad you have that girlfriend" if he says they aren't really that close, or they are in a fight or anything of the like he is a player, if he says that he really loves her, he's not interested, but if he says anything that would suggest if they weren't together that you two would have a future, then keep flirting and making sure he knows that you aren't sitting around waiting for him, but if he was single, you guys could get together.
