I know this sounds silly! But I am planning to ask my crush out on a date for the first time. I have never done this and I am chickening out! I need some support and words of wisdom! I don't want to back away! Anybody?

Just dooooo it! Don't even think about it. As soon as you see him, pull him aside and ask him. The more you think about it, the less likely you are to do it.
Make up a card, or buy one, and give it to him, include a coupon entitling the bearer to one date with you, details negotiable. You could also include other coupons entitling the bearer to one hug, one hand hold, etc.
If he is a regular guy he is going to lose that card though. I have lost a lot of numbers and had a few get extremely angry with me. - A month ago

I don't use pickup lines, I just be me and talk to them like I would to any other person. If things lead somewhere they simply do, if they don't, well that's cool too.
