I started my summer after freshman year of college hooking up very frequently with my best friend. I told myself it would mean nothing and I knew it couldn't work between us again, we had dated in the past and broke it of because of the distance during school. But I screwed up and I started liking her, we talked and decided to cool it down for awhile. Since that talk she has met a guy and is trying to date him, we went from seeing each other everyday to me feeling like she's blowing me off and ditching me. I halfway confronted her about it and we got in a huge awkward fight. Rite now I feel like shit and miss her so much I just feel like she doesn't care about my feelings or me, I need to forget her because this is bringing me down way too much and ruining a lot of things around me. how can I stop liking her but still be her friend? I realize this is a complicated one but anything helps

I bet she really cares about your feelings and especially you, but she is just frustrated at the situation. I would take things slow. You won't be great friends again for a little while but that's only natural. Things will turn out and who knows, maybe because of this your friendship will become even stronger now that there aren't feelings attached. Trust that things will eventually improve and work things out and don't be afraid to ask her to hangout. Good luck!

Same shet happened to me: Fell deep for a girl, never told me she had a boyfriend, almost got in a fight with him, stopped talking to her. She was my first love, put it that way.

I went through a gothic/ emo phase. I listened to sad songs, wouldn't smile much, was angry, had some death thoughts! Until one day I just woke up and asked my self Why the hell am I feeling like Shet. When I feel sad or like shet, I can't accomplish things, or have any fun. So ever since that moment I became a very positive man, became known as the 80 year old man preacher! Lol I started to give out advice, and helping people. I became Prince charming/ gentleman.

You just got to look at it this way, be happy for her that she found another guy. You two were having problems that caused you two to break up. So take it as a sign. Start looking for some one else. Enjoy the time you spend with these new girls. What happens Happens. Don't think about the past or the future too much. Focus more on the present and just be happy! Appreciate what you have. Start smiling more.

Overtime the pain will dissapear, in the meantime, if I were you I would remain friends with her. Its better to have her in your life as a friend rather than not having her at all! Trust me on this!

Advice: How To Impress Your Date
Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 20 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
- Excuse me Miss, I was watching you from over there and I have to say that I just love your smile. It makes me happy just to just sit and watch you smiling. Could you please do that again?

(she hopefully smiles and gives up a sweet happy laugh)

- Oh dear, you just made my day - both a lovely smile and a lovely laughter! Thanks for making my day, Miss.

How do they typically respond?
Well, to be honest I haven't tried it yet since I almost never go out nowadays, but I wouldn't hesitate it I was to be in this situation. The way I do it, I would not be pushy or anything. After my last comment I would probably leave her for now, but try to bump in to her again later that evening, smile and ask for that lovely laugh again. And then maybe, we can start to have a conversation.

Do I have the right approach?
