Well this is my 0.02$

I think if a guy is intimidated by a smart girl is one of the two below:
1- He likes dumb girls so its easy to manipulate and lie to.
2- He is an idiot and can't handle intelligence

My personal choice, I will not date or even initiate anything with a girl unless she is very smart. Though I find some women today ( I know I will get burned for saying this) seem to believe that kniving is intelligence. To those women I say, things that start with games, end with games.

I t could be possible. It would be on an individual case basis. Don't be ashamed that you have a lot to offer and have earned. Also don't use it as a way to put down you partner or boy friend and I think he will be proud that he is with a smart girl I know I would.

No I love it its a turn on. If a girl can talk about something other then school, work, entertainment industry and clothes is boring. If she can talk politics, religion, and things going on around the world its great.

Some actually do mind this, because its the guy that's suppose to know everything, but that was back then. Times have changed. I know some guys that actually prefer girls to be smart that way they can not only take care of themselves but us guys too.

I on the other hand wouldn't mind dating a smart girl, but there needs to be a limit. Some cases should still occur where I'm still smarter than her, not always her!

I actually rather date a smart girl as opposed to, for lack of a better term, a not-so-smart one. Guys by nature seem to always want to be smarter, more athletic, etc. than their girlfriend. But it depends on the person. Don't dumb your self down, but if you tend to speak intellectually, just ease up a bit

I think at first they do. And its actually pretty simple, they feel that you won't find them interesting. But you just have to be reachable(be your self) and make him feel comfortable . That way he knows that just because your smart doesn't mean you can't have fun!

I've noticed a few men get uncomfortable around intelligent women for some reason. I'm personally turned off when a man only interests himself in sports and his job as I like to talk about more engaging things. Each to their own and if a man is intimidated by you, find a new one to talk to. You'll most likely enjoy the company of someone more your speed of conversation anyway. :)

I think most guys prefer a girl that is fairly smart. But honestly, I think a lot of guys get frustrated if their girlfriend is smarter in general than they are. I think it sometimes make them feel inferior. I would never dumb myself down for a guy, but I try to refrain from using too big of words around a lot of average guys, because I can see them get flustered that a girl just said something they don't understand. Guys don't like to be intimidated intellectually by girls.
