it depend on the guy that you're dating , yet did he make any move towards you ,
if NO maybe he's waiting the right time to make the move ,

I think it's a give and take for both in the relationship.

When I was in a relationship, the best times were when we both showed interest in each other. I liked it in the first relationship when I had the confidence boost that she would kiss me first, and let me know that kissing her or putting my arm around her was a good thing. I was (and still am in some ways) shy, so it would have been where I almost HAD to have a girl who would initiate the cuddling.

I like to know that I make a girl weak in the knees. I like to feel attractive, and when I have to initiate everything, I don't always feel like I am attractive.

For me, the girl almost has to show some interest in order for me to get up the courage to ask her out on a date.

Same way with friendships. She has to show some sort of interest in being my friend, or a real friendship isn't going to exist. There's a woman friend that I have, and I hate it when I'm the one who has to call it seems like all the time. She doesn't call me up to invite me anywhere. She's not once initiated any kind of call or e-mail, or contacted me without me doing it first. Combine that with the fact that she hasn't actually hung out with me in over 2 months, and before that, she hasn't hung out for 5 months, and I have to say that this platonic friendship needs CPR. Another friend, we hung out 3 weeks ago, I see her at church, and she just e-mailed me to hang out for next week, and I love her like a kid sister. THAT'S a friendship that will probably last for a VERY long time.

But when it comes to these things, I like to initiate too.

So it all depends. I know marriages can suffer, partly due to a lack of communication, partly due to a lack of kindness, and a lack of intimacy; Men quite often complain how they feel like women never want any romance, affection, or sex, which can really damage a once healthy relationship. I'm not saying that nobody has a right to refuse another at times, especially if there's a good reason. But if there's no good reason, then there should be initiation by both people.

Probably one who is assertive and initiates stuff. I don't like girls who place all the responsibility on the men, it's so 1950s!

in an age of sexual harassment, where men get sued, fired, arrested just for saying hello to a girl in a bad mood, Would need to be making ALL the moves! lets not forget men have to tolerate women who play "hard to get" or coy! who the hell taught women to think men find this behavior attractive anyway?
frankly women need to step up, so yes, men prefer a girl who is forward, who likes to speak up and initiate almost everything inside and outside the bedroom!
