Whats the reason a guy would go for a younger girl?

First of all, is it a big age difference for a relationship when the guy is 18 and the girl is 16? If an 18 year old is asking a 16 year old out could it be only because he thinks the girl is easy or could it be because he really likes her?

18 and 16 is a very big difference, according to law. Since girls mature faster than guys, however, it doesn't seem like a big deal otherwise.
