How many people have been in this situation?

Exactly the problem I'm having right now. But he's scared and vulnerable. It's understandable. Even if kinda annoying.

I'm in it right now. I talk to this guy a lot and I can say I'm so in love with him and he is attract to me. He even said I'm attractive and desirable but yet he doesn't want to date me. Now I don't expect anything much from him just friendship. I still wish that he would ask me out but I know it never going to happen. I also talk to other guys too.

That's happened to me. It wasn't the right time and we didn't live in the same city/state. We're still friends so who knows! I'm not holding my breath though. Still fishing.

been there, the guy even bought me a teddy bear for christmas (didn't buy anything for anyone else) but he said he just wanted to stay friends. it's kind of annoying, but sometimes people just aren't looking for love or even a date, and I'm sure they have their reasons.

im in that situation. I like him and I think he likes me too. we both just got out of long relationships. we have a lot in common and want the same things. hang out quite a bit. I feel like he's my twin or something.a little weird. but he told me I'm an amazing girl and he would break my heart.

i would like to date him but I'm not interested in that type of relationship right now. but we do things people are dating do so its dif than a friendship. we just call it hanging out.

i know the feeling for sure. sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't but I'm too scared to mention it to him. no one likes rejection.

I have a few friends that I would classify as my type and attractive but there is nothing emotionally between us. I don't even get aroused around her though I know she is very attractive. I would not attempt to date her since I know it would go nowhere.

I've been in that situation. It eventually ended up as nothing and we're still friends after 2 1/2 years.
