Does he realize he's doing it? How long was he with his ex and how long have you two been together? Maybe he just needs some time to value your opinion over hers...they broke up for a reason so it's discouraging that they are still close in such a way but I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet.

I think the best thing for you to do is to lose that jerk if he believes his ex over you then he probably doesn't care about you enough...and it seems like the relationship won't get anywhere if this keeps going on.

If you don't these guys will run all over us in a relationship. What he is doing is very disrespectful. Her lying on you is just unacceptable. Honey don't deal with that crap. I speak from experience. I have some dog stuff done to me and I had to ask God to change me because I'm too nice - don't deal with that you deserve better either the x goes or you put you foot down.
