We've been on two dates before, and had fun together. He says he likes me, but there's a lot of things keeping us from being together. He's 24 and I'm 18, he lives 30 min. away from me, and he works on 2nd shift. I really like him, and he likes me, but he doesn't know if he's willing to get into a relationship w/me, b/c of all the things going against us. Anyways, should I ask him to go out this weekend, or forget about it?

Personally I don't think the age or the distance should be show stoppers if there is mutuality. Having different work schedules might make it tricky in order to get time to be together, but he'll likely have that problem to contend with with anyone. If you do move forward with this guy, be careful, as this might just be his way of letting you know he's not interested in a serious (read committed) relationship. Don't get too physical until you feel certain you won't end up with a heartache.
I don't see the age difference being a problem, but the 30 minutes can be a problem. You certainly can ask him out, but you'll have to be understanding if he has to say no, because the gas money and time are factors that might keep him from saying yes.
