I want to hear the best and most original ways... partly to get ideas and partly for pure entertainment factors.
I'm thinking of take our box full of memories and laying one after another from the door to her basement to her bedroom door and inside the room there will be a sign that says "How about we keep the memories going? Will you go to prom with me?" or something like that. I haven't decided exactly what to put on it yet.

Sometimes originality works, sometimes it doesn't. Whatever you do, turn up the sweetness and romance, don't go to far with cleverness and the whole complicated practical joke thing. What girls care more about is the 'this-is-about-our-relationship' part. So if both of you go to sports games a lot and are okay with joking with each other, then SoccerGuy's idea is great. You know your girl. Make something that will be special for you two.
That is a really cool idea. so this is how my friend's boyfriend asked her to prom: you know during halftime at baseball games where they show the happy birthday messages up on the screen? well he get one and had it say: "Tina will you go to prom with me? if not, get ur own ride home." It was really cute because he had taken her to the baseball game as a date. They had been dating for about 6 months so he was sure she'd say yes.
