One of my guy friends told me he likes me but I don't like him like that I just want to be his friend and nothing more how do I let him down and I also have a boyfriend and I keep telllin him I love my boyfriend a lot and I dnt think we are gonna break up anytime soon but he just keeps sayin what if you and him break up and I ask you out I keep sayin I don't know couse I dnt want to hurt him but he just don't get the hint that I don't like what do I do? please please help me

Hints usually don't work.

You need to be direct with your friend. Tel him that you like his friendship, but you have no interest in dating or romance with him.

It might feel uncomfortable to say that, but it's usually best to get it all in the open, so there's no confusion.

Sometimes you just have to let people down. It sounds like this guy has been a very good friend to you, so the least you can do is let him down easy. Remember, guys hate rejection, but they hate being led on even more.
