I met this guy on Myspace through some friends of mine, and on the first date he said "Am I the first guy to tell you I love you on the first date?" Ever since then, he tells me he loves me and I'm just curious about if he actually means it or not. This question is directed mainly towards the guys but girls can answer too. My question is: Does a guy really mean it when he says "I love you" early on in the relationship or is it just a way of getting into a girls pants? Yes we are dating and have been for the past 2 weeks, he's seriously a sweet guy that hasn't tried anything yet. And I'm willing to explain more on the situation if needed; just MESSAGE me or ask.
Please & thanks, it would be greatly appreciated!

not speakin for any other guys ,i know the the importance of saying "i love you". People are using the word well before they mean it just because its a universal way of saying I like you alot.Instead of saying I like you a lot its easier to say I love you. However just because its easier doesent make it right.Everyone knows love is a strong emotion and shouldnt be thrown around as a quick fix.Guys aren't the only ones that use love with meaning it.Alot of girls are guilty also.Have you said "i love you too"?Most of the time if one person says I love you its really hard to anything else besides I love you too.Because if the person who first said I love you really meant it then any response back less then I love you too would be heartbrakin. And I don't know any guy whos used " love you" to get into a girls pants.I honestly don't think he's trying to get in your pants.he probally hasn't came up with a way to express he's feeling for you other than saying he love you.stay with him.

Question Asker I definetely think your boyfriend has sincere feelings for you, if he's telling your parents that he plans on marrying you after 2 months of a relationship. Just make sure to keep him on track so that he doesn't go back to his 'womanizer ways. I believe my boyfriend does have sincere feelings for me as well since we have been together for almost 5 months, with none of the 'weird stuff' . - 7 months ago

I don't know about everyone else but when a man tells me he loves me I hear, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, your happiness is as important to me as my own, I want to share my time, my dreams, my hopes and failures with you. Feel the same way about me and we will be one."
Pretty intense I know - and who is to say he didn't feel that way when he first saw you?
Of course, it could just be his gimmick to keep a woman's attention.

Answerer Forgot to add. I wouldn't believe him myself. It takes time to develop feelings like that and he just hasn't had enough time to know that he loves you. - 11 months ago

Ok I'm not a guy, but to me that seems WAY too early. I mean yall can be attracted to e/o and like e/o but saying I love you that quickly sounds off alarms to me. It seems fake to me and possibly just wants you for sex. I wouldn't want someone who did that, but that is just me. It takes time to actually fall in love w/someone, but yes you can like e/o but saying that that soon should send a red flag.
