Where's all the technically inclined girls?

There are definitely beautiful women who are strong, independent, intelligent, a bit geeky, etc. I'd like to think I'm one of them! The guy I'm currently interested in has been chasing me like crazy since we just 'click' and when he found out I loved videogames, hardcore music and maths he went nuts (in a good way). I'm into fashion and am quite feminine, but I love having a few beers and playing video games or roughing it up at a concert. So yes, girls like that do exist. It sounds like you want an attractive and intelligent woman, and I genuinely believe there are HEAPS of them out there. Just don't try the usual bar dating scene, try somewhere a bit nerdy or masculine or out of the ordinary.

I love extreme sports, mechanics (cars - meaning yes I can change a tyre)) and even playing Max Payne on the ps2 (I should really keep that on the DL), I like bowling, I can plumb in a bathroom, decorate and tile, I read books and I like to learn random info.
Don't get me wrong I also like some girlie stuff BUT when I am out and about (for example my picture) I too could pass for a ditzy "oh my god like , yar" kind of girl. You never can tell you just got to give people a shot and not judge a book by it's cover. We also don't all gather in certain places but on the opinion of just me, myself and I...I don't really go "clubbing" all that much, I can stomach a bar when it's not full of prissys and pretty boys who check the mirror every 2 seconds but I mainly prefer pubs, like with a pool table and a dartboard and music in the background that you can hear one another over. Try there first if not then just keep your eyes peeled, haha! :o)

Well I would like to tell you that yes, those kind of girls do exist. I understand how frustrated you feel because I am a huge nerd myself and it was always so hard to find someone who would accept me for who I am. But I gotta disagree with Ms sexycrystal54313. Not all beautiful girls are bubbly headed. I know that I am not Miss Universe, but I also don't consider myself ugly physically. I've had many boyfriends in the past and even now that I am in a very happy and stable relationship I have guys tailing after me. I suppose it's because I have broken a stereotype that all nerdy girls are ugly. trust me, I am a huge nerd. I love Reading Historical books and watching the History Channel in both English and Spanish is a favorite of mine. But I also know how to have fun and I love talking about almost anything. people are never bored when they are around me, and yet I'm still a nerd. Funny, isn't it? Yeah, I've had bad relationships in the past, but that didn't stop me from giving up you know what I mean? I was patient, got to know guys and on the summer of 08 I finally met someone who I love very much and he loves me no matter how nerdy I am. Lol. But what I'm trying to say is, be patient. Get to know more girls and talk to them about what your interests are. I'm sure you'll find one that will stand out and share the same interests as you. Hope this helps. :)

Don't worry they do exist , because I am one of them. As where to find them anywhere you just have to look hard and try looking for the not outrageously beautiful ones , I'm not saying that all beautiful girls are bubbly headed but your more likely to find a more down to earth girl that's not what society would say is beautiful, try looking at different parts of your school

of course they exist and I could say I am one of them. Actually, its like also asking is there any guy there that think and analyze things prospectively than just thinking of sex? I mean, there are different kinds of people and its kinda frustrating if we have restrictions and standards. I agree with two responses.. first, yup, you should look it where to should be found out but not all the time. girls could be cowboys also and feminine at the same time. maybe you're looking on a wrong locations. also, on the second respond, it will take time, effort and openness. I ma thinking MAYBE you just don't yet find that girl that you will be attracted really. regardless of who she is, what can she capable of or if she is feminine or not... you will know that! maybe now you just want a change but do you think it is really that you're looking for?

They exist, but they're a minority because the way our society makes it easier and more acceptable for girls to be interested in things that are perceived as feminine. if you want to find girls who are into working in the trades, hang around a tradeschool. If you want to find bibliophiles, hang around a library. if you want a programmer chick, visit the computer science part of any university. Go to the source!

This made me think of Flash Dance. There are all sorts of girls out there. Some of us love reading books and having knowledge while others prefer to be prissy and pretty. It takes time to meet the kind of girl that sparks your fancy. It took me years to run across a guy that loved to read or watch foreign films. I always wanted to meet a guy that was worldly and appreciated cultures other than his. I yearned for a guy who didn't mind watching some independant foreign film with subtitles. I am now engaged to a man that isn't worldly and reads a little. What attracted me to him was his open ways. He is always up for trying different foods, movies, cultures...etc. Sometimes he likes it sometimes he will pass on it. But I appreciate his open mind and I appreciate how I can be myself with him.
My point is, sometimes we don't find exactly what we want but we do find a person that is open minded enough. We learn from each other which makes for amazing times. Don't give up hope, you will meet that lucky girl someday. Maybe she won't be a welder but maybe she has the mind open enough to learn about it.

They're a myth in my opinion as I still can't find a girl like you are describing. I did find 1 but she says she's not ready for a relationship. Met her online. I figure the intelligent ones are online, somewhere...maybe...nah...myth I say.
