Interracial Dating

Interracial dating is a great thing. It's helped in eroding lotsa racial myths. From my experience, Interracial dating is just a good thing. There's nothing wrong with it. The people who have a problem with it, so what... Who cares... My advice to you dude, is just go ahead and do it. You'll learn a lot about people (and a LOT about the opposite sex) when you do...

I've been attracted to guys of other races but usually I just stick to my own. It's easier that way. Where I live there is a lot of harrassment, if you go out as friends with people of other races sometimes you get weird looks. Also I'm not trying to deal with a guy potentially having racist family members that I have to deal with. I don't mind if other people do it though, to each his own.

i don't think color matter...if you like someone and that person like you then you should go for it. =]

i'm a halfie. dad's dutch and mom's asian. they dated and yeah they're ok. I get to hear a lot about the stories. my mom just always said that my dad was understanding and that they just got to know each other so they got along pretty well. it opened his eyes a bit that she wasn't like how his friends said she would be like and she great to love him so yeah. I think it's getting more accepted, although sometimes you have to work more to get to know each other.

Interracial is a really good thing. A lot of people are interracial dating. Some are married but that is what makes the world a better place. To many people are so old fashioned just because they think you should date in your own race but you know what, they are full of beans! Interracial relationships is very exciting and fun and you can learn so much from each other. My boyfriend of one month is teaching me about his people in the Philippines and he is teaching me about Japanese people since he is living in Japan going back to the Philippines temporary to get his visa and heading over to Canada where I am now to be with me.

I am a white women seeing a Filipino guy. I see nothing wrong as long as you love their personality and their smile and they are a good person, to me that is all that matters. The guy I am seeing is the first guy out of my race that I have ever dated and so far I am lovong every minute of it! It is fun and you learn about each others cultures!

I'm in an interracial relationship. I have been with him for 3 years. I'm white, he's Asian. Yes, we do get comments on it-my own family has said some messed up things about it.


I think many people feel more comfortable dating within their own ethnicity because it seems more familiar to them, and there's less cultural taboo about it.

Personally, I've never seen anything wrong with dating different ethnicities. I think it's fun to learn more and be a part of their culture.

If I liked a guy, it wouldn't matter if he was white, black, asian, hispanic, or whatever!
therefore, to me, people are all the same as far as race goes. So yes, interracial dating is great! and if you don't like it, then you are a old fashioned racist faggot :))! hah

I have dated one black guy and a few mexicans. Other than personality traits and stuff there is no difference.

Well we are all the same race human, what else matters, my dad is mixed jamaican/indian my mum is white. My whole family is a combination of black, white british & italian and asian.

I live in London and people from all different ethnic backgrounds live here and date including my parents! I think if too people like each other then what else matters?

Where I'm from Interracal dating isn't that uncommon...and there's noting wrong with it and I've been In a few relationships myself...its not about race at all its about who you are compatable with...thats it.

Why should race really even be considered? You say that you would like to see more interracial dating but WHY? Would that make you feel better about the world? You really shouldn't worry about it since its only an issue if you make it one.

btw I'm the child of an interracial marriage and am engaged to a girl outside of my race.

im white, like real white, german/scottish/irish/british and I find myself attracted to a couple lighter black girls, lots of asian girls, and some hispanic girls...my family shuns interracial dating, my greatgrandad (whos still alive) was in the KKK, and I live in SOUTH GEORGIA where interracial stuff WILL GET You KILLED

I grew up in the south where Dr. King did his work. At sixteen I fell in love with a black cheerleader who would have been the love of my life if the RACISTS would have left us alone ! __ I'm three tribes of Native American one of those was partially black but since my mother was a white Scott's-Irish girl who's skin you could see so I came out light coloured, so light in fact I pass for white, but my full brother passes as Native American.
___ But we were always told we were considered white. As crazy as it sounds I was always taught you only date the people you are considered to be the same as. So it was frowned upon that I was in love with a girl as black as coal and in the winter without a tan I was almost pure white looking so we really stood out in the crowd at her school dances. Because our dads were these crazy racist we were not allowed to get serious about our relationship and were finally pulled apart, which I've never gotten over.
___ Later in life I moved away from home and I dated whom ever I wanted Black girls, Mexican, Native American, Filipino, White, Jamaican, Italian, Jewish, Arminian ... because I was looking for a certain quality and character that is only on the inside and has NOTHING TO DO WITH SKIN TONE !
____ Although I find Black and mixed women the most desirable TYRA BANKS, Ananda Lewis, Gabriel Union, Iesha Tyler and others. I have learned over the years that skin doesn't matter but CULTURE and LIFESTYLE does, and no matter what culture a person comes from if you are open minded you might find something new you like better than what you are use too.

___ I do not like the THUG LIFESTYLE because I'm a Christian and foul language and rude behaviour are unbecoming. So there are certain black women I don't ask out and it has nothing to to with their skin. Also there are people of Spanish descent that are part of a racist culture that are also part of an Occult religious back ground that I don't find attractive. Just as I don't find attractive the Bostonian type white girls who see themselves as better that others. A couple of the sweetest gals I've dated was Kenyan and another Jamaican.
___ But I have learned get to know each woman for who and what she is on the inside and the rest will take care of itself. I once dated a black woman who was part of an old school large black church, and only myself and a Mexican guy were of something other than a black heritage.But as time went by she and I went our separate ways and I stayed in the church for three years and often took all types of women to church with me even a white girl once; but the reason I stayed is if you read GOD's Word you learn that even Jesus was not only mixed he was blended and God doesn't allow racism among his people. He even punished Moses' sister for saying something about his Black wife; God turned her chalk white with a skin disease for a week and made her leave town and live by herself to teach her a lesson about racism. Date'm all !

I've always preferred women from other cultures. You have to be able to accept their culture first of all. Until then it will be hard to get to know them. You have to be willing to try not only different foods and the like, but different approaches to life, accept that what is important in our culture may be secondary in theirs...

You have to be sincere about this willingness to learn...I think that is all it takes! From someone who would up marrying a woman from Algeria...

It's just a preference thing, or in some cases the racial differences are simply overlooked because the pair like each other so much.

Where I come from we're pretty multi-cultural, we've got people of all races and I find it fairly common to see an interracial couple. Personally it doesn't bother me one way or the other, like gay marrige, this is going to affect my life how? To each is own people, whatever floats your boat.
