I'm 17 and I've never been in an real relationship with a guy. I've had many of guy friends and things like that I've also told guys that I wanted to be more than just there friend but it seems like every time that I try to get close to a certain guy it always falls through and never seems to work out between the two of us.

And I don't think I'm unattractive because I get told that I'm pretty but if that's the case then how come I can't find someone that makes me happy. It seems like time is flying by and that I'm never going to find anyone that likes me as much as I like them. PLZ help me and give me some advice on what to do.. Is the problem me? Or am I looking just looking in the wrong places?

Wow, 17? You'll be fine. Don't worry, as the other guys said, you've got plenty of time, one of the hottest guys at my school (not according to me, but the girls. Thought I'd make that clear) has never kissed anyone. Much less had a relationship. He's going on 19. And he's the kind of guy that all the girls like. It's just a time thing. Don't worry.

You are just fine.
You have so much time.
I read the article before I read your age and I thought you were 30.
You're going to be alright. Just remember how much patience plays when finding the right person. Don't make the mistake of trusting anyone. Someone is noticing you and you don't even realize it. They're just building up the confidence to approach you.

In the meanwhile, live and be young. I don't mean make mistakes on purpose. Just don't be afraid to make them if you feel you are doing the right thing.

Sincerely,
A Loving Black Man

Darlin, you're just 17, this is the time when you need to not worry much about trivial things as this...but if you want an answer, ask them out for a coke, coffee? ask the guy out, be direct, you have one of two answers headed your way, yes or no...if it yes, well, then you can pursue it more, if it is no, well, let it go...we are in a day and age where not too many people go out of their little zones...just give it a shot...

You are still mad young. Don't worry about it. You will totally find someone soon I promise. And if ya don't look at it this way, you won't EVER need a man to complete you. Besides boys are just distracting :)

I really think you have to wait! I don't think it is the right time for you to find somebody that you want to be with the rest of your life yet! You still have your hole life ahead of you and you have college if your going to college!! I'm telling you now that you will find somebody real soon and you will be in a good relationship and get married before you are 25! When the time comes then you will find the right person but right now I really don't think it is the right timing! So go ahead and enjoy your life and enjoy high school you will find somebody sometime soon!!! Just wait your turn it will come sooner than you think!!! Trust me!! You will know when it is the right time!!!
