So I have a huge crush on a coworker and just this Saturday I initiated a phone number swap and I invited him to join me in getting some pho with me after work! He joined me and we had a pleasant time, but I don't think it would be considered a date (damn it) because frankly I have no idea if the cat likes me in that way or not (would be freaking awesome if he did)

Anyways at work the next day I was training a new girl on the register so I was unable to give him my full attention kind of like I normally am able to which totally sucked for me. He kept on hanging out by my register and coming over to me randomly and then just kind of walking away while I was standing by the doors to let everyone know we were closed and to let customers out of the store.

I REALLY wanted to be like "call me sometime" but I didn't! I was too nervous + I didn't have a lot of time to chat with him. Now I'm wondering if it would sound too needy if I sent him a text saying something along the lines of

"hey! hope closing wasn't too crazy because there were only 3 of you guys! give me a call if you want to do anything this week! have a great time snowboarding :)!" (he is going snowboarding 2 out of the 4 days he works on the weekends there). But yeah! What are your thoughts?!

I also wanted to mention he is on the shy side I think, so I have done a lot of the initiating I guess? Is that a bad sign? The only person that knows I like him is the new girl (who I totally click with and thank god she already has a bf LOL - no competition for my crush ;D) and she said that she was noticing that he gets a little quiet and kinda smiley when he gets near me . . ..which made me blush and all smiley LOL (but who knows if that is really exactly how that is going on)Or what are your thoughts?

Update: Man I ended up texting him! I said:"Yo! Man closing was intense yesterday~hope recovery went ok! Feel free to give me a call if you feel like doing anything :)! PS~hope you have a kick-ass time on your snowboarding trip :D" Do you think this will be ok?    8 months ago

Update: . . . . don't know why that redid my update LOL! So disregard the double post please :)    8 months ago

Yes it would be okay. It's only one message, isn't it? Go for it, you have nothing to lose! I bet he would like to hear from you. :-)

It sounds like he likes you, but is just shy. Keep talking to him, and be friendly. Let him know you are interested in him by keeping close to him. What you did was good; it should give him the encouragement he needs to make a move on you. Good luck!

Pretend that he is the last thing on your mind and plant small seeds saying call me or text me sometime are perfect ways to get his attention. be subtle though and he'll come your way in time. He Likes you but he's just as shy as you are.

Good Luck!!

Question Asker Do you think my text works with your suggestion? I'm not gonna call/text him again until he returns my text! I've never been in a relationship before some I'm pretty nervous/anxious :(! Man you think he likes me? I would be pretty excited if he did! LOL - 8 months ago
Answerer Yeah your good but be sure to tell him to call you sometime, stuff like that will be perfectly cool. Go up to him and say jeeze why haven't you called me yet, have you been busy? - 8 months ago
