My special someone is on the verge of finally breaking up with her loser bf. She's been really mad at him and won't talk to him and she told me she didn't want to talk to him. She has been a little sad lately, but she has been increasingly flirty with me and I have been flirtatious back.
I just don't know how to go about asking her to go out with me. I know I'll probably wait until they've separated for sure. But all my good friends are telling me I should try to go out with her shortly after they break up or even before they do.
I think that some time is needed between boyfriends, but in this case it sounds like not too much is needed. You want to make sure she knows your feelings so she doesn't second guess her break-up, however you don't want to be too pushy while she is vulnerable.
Take her on a basic out as friends date show her how you are more of a gentleman than her current guy. Be careful to emphasize how it is as friends and that there is no pressure. Though in your mind treat it like it is a first date do everything in your power to impress her, swoon her, and sweep her off her feet.

First date..mmm.... dinner at some place downtown. afterwards maybe go for a walk as the temperature drops in the city. Finally it would be your choice if you wanted to watch a movie or go downtown, either way its paid for!MY style, would have to be a pair of baggy jeans and a over sized polo, with a fitted cap, the date would end in either a drunk state or a relaxed vibe.
