I date who I'm into. I don't allow my friends to pick a girl for me, not that they've tried anyway. But if my friends did try, I think I would turn them down, politely.
I would date the girl I like. But if my friends came to me and expressed concern about her, I would take their input seriously. My friends have been around for over ten years, being there through thick and thin. I know they care about me (and me for them), so if they did not like a girl, I'd think about ending it. Same as if my family was concerned.
This, to me, is different than asking them if they think a girl is cool. That I wouldn't do. My friend would have to initiate the conversation.
I don't think many guys get influenced by their friends with who to go out with. With guys, if someone makes them feel happy one way or another, that's the way it is. The only thing our friends can really do is push us away with rumors and horrible thoughts and habits.
I casnt speak for all guys, but I just pretty much date whoever I am into and don't really listen to what my friends say about a girl too much. I know that if my friends introduced someone to me, then I would give her more of a chance because my friends recommended her, but usually guys just date who they are into.
Ok I have to say from my own experience 3 guys I was seeing had to get the approval from there friends and one of them didn't get the approval because I had a bit of bother with there sister long story so he dumped me because his friends who didn't even know me didn't like me and the other 2 well I old them goodbye because they had to get approval off there friends 1st!!
