So I met someone through another friend (who I dated for a 1.5 months until she said she wasn't ready for a relationship and wanted to be friends). I've seen her two times with our group of friends...the last time was at a party at which I sat down next to and talked to for about 20 min. After the last time I added her on facebook, she invited me to her birthday thing and asked if I was coming and today sent me a message about something in my profile. I got her screen name and talked for about an hour. I obviously don't know if she's interested in being more than friend yet
I'm wondering if I should just ask her what she's doing this weekend and if she wants to get dinner, or wait to get to know her better.
Two things are stopping me from asking her now: 1. I dated her friend and I'm sure they'll talk as soon as I ask her out. Will it hinder my chances? 2. Being looked at as being too forward, although waiting too long might put me in the "friends zone"
So should I just got for it? Nothing to lose? or wait?
