Should I send this girl flowers?

I have a situation where a girl I went out with last week had a death in the family to someone she was really close with. She called me crying and said right now was a difficult time for her right now to peruse a relationship and she asked if it would be ok for her to call me when things got better. I said she could.

After telling a friend this story he suggested that I send her flowers to let her know I was there for her. Do girls think this is a good idea? I think she is interested in me as she asked if she could call me but my friend thinks this could help things along. What do the ladies here think? I am leaning toward the idea of just letting things play out as we have only been out once.

Not if you only dated her once. I would sent her a card. Flowers are to pushy but with a card you are saying you are there for her.
