So I like this guy who I really don't know very well. I only talked to him once but I've always like this guy and he also knows that I like him. I really don't know how to ask him so help me out. I was thinking about saying this " Hey *****! Do you remember I'm Nicks friend. So hows it going? " then say like " I was wondering if you would like to go to Sadie Hawkins dance with him next week? " So is this an ok approach guys?
Update: This is the right one.."Hey **** Do you remember me? I'm Nick's friend.. So how's it going?" then "I was wondering if you would like to go to Sadie Hawkins with me this Friday?"

I voted against your plan. I don't like the part about mentioning Nick. Or asking the guy to go with Nick. He'll say no, probably. Unless he's gay.
Otherwise it's cool. I'd say a better approach is to wear something attractive - like a V neck sweater - lean over so he can see that you're attractive and, once he's caught looking, ask him out.
To be honest I don't think that's a very good idea because he's going to think that your desperate on going to the dance with him but if you really like him than go for it that's all I can tell you
Honey in my opinion starting with hey**** is just as old as asking about the weather! But you can just ask him for a dance just be brave and go for it of course your the one who choose. GOOD LUCK HONEY.
Okay, I just had to ask. Now. don't get me wrong, I don't think all women like jerks. I myself am married to a nice guy and so are my female...

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I don't really use a "pickup line." Usually I will just ask them something basic relating to a common situation (if we're at a party, we're co-workers, etc.), and then hopefully steer it into a conversation where I can ask about them, learn about them, hopefully throw in a few jokes here and there. Past that, though, I don't always follow through, which is where I struggle.
How do they typically respond?
Usually pretty well, the interaction is more friendly than anything, so there isn't much pursued past that point. I feel good about my initial approach, I guess it's 'closing the deal' that I'm not good with.
