I met this guy over the weekend. I'm volunteering and he called me last week and left a message on my phone about the volunteering. I went to a meeting Saturday and it seemed like he kept looking over in my direction when he was speaking to everyone. After the meeting he came up to me and was like "are you fanell? " with a goofy grin on his face. I said yeah and we talked for a few minutes about volunteering stuff. When I was leaving I went to ask him a question and so he said he would write the info. Down on paper. I decided to see if I didn't move my hand and he touched it if he would move his hand away. He didn't move it at all the whole time. The next day I get a call from him asking how the volunteering stuff was going and there was such an awkward silence. I started a little small talk and finally I was just like "ok, well I'll talk to you later I guess. " He responded by saying "ok, I'll probably call you like Wednesday. " But there is no reason to call on Wed. Also, I went to the office yesterday to drop some stuff off and I didn't see him until I heard someone yell across the room "hey fanell" (which made everyone look at me). One of the pres. Candidates is speaking on Thursday and he was all like if you look for me on Thurs. I can get you to the front of the audience. " I didn't hear him offer that to anyone else. I know this isn't a lot of evidence but I was just wondering if these could be subtle signs? Thanks!
It sounds to me like he likes you. How else did he know your name before he met you? And why the odd phone call? I think you should see what else he does, because it sounds like he likes you and just doesn't know what to say about it yet.
Hmm I wouldn't really say he likes you from those signs that you wrote because he probably thought you really like volunteering and is helping you. I would advise you to continue to monitor his actions before deciding whether he likes you or not. Maybe being friends first can actually let you see whether he really does.
