ok, first, you will be a rebound girl no matter what if she is divorcing him. If he is divorcing her, then you are safe in that category. The main thing I would say is to make sure to ask questions (not yes/no) , act like you are interested in what he has to say, and when he asks you something, have more than a two sentence answer.
Also, unless it is like one of those cute freezing up things in a convo, if you freeze and he doesn't recover it, he may eventually find you as a boring person, as you couldn't hold the convo, so try to just keep it flowing, even if you have to make some weird transition.
