I was talking to my friend online and I told her how I would stop trying to flirt with , and giving her hugs, if she said to. All she did was make a little angry smiley face and change the subject. This doesn't make sense to me. We get along fine, and I just started to give her hugs when I am done seeing her. Now I joke about kissing her and she tells me she will punch me but I doubt it. What the heck is going on? Why does she act like she hates when I compliment her?

She's flirting in a really immature way. Just kiss her one day when you're hanging out, don't talk about doing it. DO IT! She's testing you. "I'll punch you" is like a "I dare ya because I want you to"
