Theres this girl that I've been crazy about for a long time and I think that she likes me (half of the time) I want to ask her out on an actual date but she's making it difficult for me. She seems to like me one week and then just acts like friends the next. Last time I asked her out (to a group event but I think she realized that it meant more to me than just asking a "regular friend" to go somewhere since I was surprisingly nervous to ask her event though we have been friends for years) anyway she said yes and went and when we got back to school the next week she was constantly staring at me and I noticed that when I was talking to some else when she was there she acted fidgety like she wanted my attention. Now just a couple of weeks ago there was a dance (during a week when she didn't really seem interested in me) so my confidence was down but eventually I just went for it and I asked her to dance with me. She giggled and said ok. But after that she acted like nothing ever happened and we were still just friends.

The constant mixed signals that she sends me are very confusing and I don't know if she is interested in me or not. Do you think she is? AND How do you think she would react if I asked her out on a real date?

I think she likes you. If she didn't she wouldn't have went out with you at all. As for her acting like she likes you one week and not the next, she just trying not to be clingy and needy. She is giving you your space. She might not be sure if you really like her or not. I say be honest with her.

Micaela-xoxo I definitely agree with the last comment.
also along with trying to not be clingy she might be nervous.
usually the girl is just as nervous as the guy, they don't want to be let down, or assume the wrong thing, so by not totally showing her feelings she won't get as hurt, and especially if she doesn't know you like her for sure she's probably really nervous too

Just tell her how you feel and I'm sure things will work out
