Ok, I like this guy and I'm pretty sure he likes me. We've been hanging out a lot lately with other friends and they both say he likes me by the way he acts. However, his ex is a pretty good friend of mine and I'm not sure if he's over her or not yet (it was a short relationship and they broke up over a month ago). What should I do?

Ask him about it. You'll never know until you ask. There's a good chance that if it was a short relationship then he's probably moved on a lot faster then a longer relationship.
Also, make sure that your friend is alright with you going out with him too, since she might have some mixed feelings if she didn't get over him.
