I met this girl 2 weeks ago, we swapped numbers and have been texting and seeing each other. However she never texts me unless I text her first, then when she replies, they're always short as if she don't want to talk. Does this mean she's not interested? I don't want to keep texting her and seem pushy.

as a rule girls don't txt 1st...really stupid but we over analyze every situation and are afraid of coming across as too needy. texts aren't meant for big long convos, some girls like a more personal form of communication. keep texts short and flirty and keep the long convos for when ye meet up. Maybe ask her straight out cos der is the other side that she might jst not be interested anymore. Harsh but at least if you get an honest answer you can begin to move on if that is the case.

She's probably jsut playing hard to get or being maybe too self concsious about looking stupid in front of you. Ask her out if she gives an excuse she's not interested if she says sure then get to know her better. Go out to the movies or something not too romantic after all it'll be your first date only!

theres two meanings ... either she doesn't want to come off as desperate. or she really isn't interested.

another problem I just thought of. Some people can be so smooth and confident in actual conversations but worry about spelling things incorrectly and looking dumb. So they stick to words they already know how to spell and sometimes hold back on telling you something because they can't figure out how to spell that one word they need to express themselves properly. So they cut thier sentences short. It happens!

What kind of phone does she have? is it one of those phones you could go on the net with and send text with but you need to hit the same key three to four times to get the letter you want? I had the same problem with a female that wanted to text me but it was to much work for her to text me in full sentences because she didn't have a phone with a full keyboard. Just a thought...its that or it can be she was ...hmmmm... driving and texting (not good but a lot of people do that). Maybe she doesn't have unlimited texting and the thought of paying 20 cents or whatever it is per text doesn't seem like a nice idea to her...or maybe she thinks she pays more if she types more...who knows. Stranger things can happen.

Check out her phone before you start wondering if she isn't interested.

She might just be busy, I wouldent worry about it to much. Just keep trying to hangout with her.
