If you really want to get to know her more, yes ask her out for lunch. And talk some more. And then decide where you want to take things. Remember, she has your # to and if she is interested she will call you. I really don't what else to say about that!
Ask her out. I see she got your number but did YOU get hers? If so, call her up. Why can't guys just do things and over think them when girls make it so obvious? She wouldn't have gone to the trouble of talking to you and get your number if she had no interest. You won't seem desperate, trust me, you would seem UNINTERESTED if you didn't ask her out.
If she gave you her number then she is going to expect you to use it. Try and take her to a place that you two can interact and get to know each other better, I would avoid things like the movies.
