Update: I'm not sure, I used to like a good challenge, but the older I get, I'm realizing its not so much that they are challenge, it's that they are insecure and controlling, so basically, I'm changing my attitude towards what I used to think.

Girl generally egocentric guys are not into you. They are into the image or the idea of you. Or worse they are into themselves and want to make them look better by getting with as many women as they can. Sorry but you should just try a nice guy out.
Don't know. I'm not egocentric. Now one thing is for sure, they get what they want when they want. They don't expect you to chase them but they do expect you to drop everything for them when they want. Why do women like guys like that?
He quite possibly does, but you're not considering giving him what he expects are you? Unless he's prepared to put in half the work then you're always going to be in an unequal (and therefore unhappy) relationship.
Yes, guys with HUGE egos expect to be chased to feed that ego of theirs. Reverse psychology has worked wonders for me. I used to pick the baddest (good looking)guy with the biggest ego and be the one woman who didn't initiate visits or dates, didn't complain when they visited for a short time, didn't call them a lot, etc.
But, if you are not interested in that game anymore, let him and his ego sit at home alone, without you, watching TV.

I would take her to a nice but quiet restaurant so that I could have a chance to really talk to her. Then I would probably take her somewhere for a drink - a place that has music and maybe dancing.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
