Okay. The guy I'm interested in at work said "hi hows it going" to me I acted like a fool and just smiled. Instead of starting conversation. Stupid huh? should I start talking to him now? should I be flirty at first. Or just act cool. i don't wanna make the mistake of having him feel so comfortable with me he will only view me as a friend.
Dont over think the situation. Its forced interaction at work. Play it cool and relax, your at work can't get stuck in the friend zone there. Your goal as of now is to get his number and hang out with him outside of work. That's when you have to get to work to stay out of the friend zone. Just be chill and be yourself
I say be who you are. If he says the same thing when he sees you, if you want, say its going really good maybe after work do you wanna go get something to eat? And from there ask him how his life is going. I'm sure he will bring up other stuff after that if you don't know what else to say. :)
You should definitely talk to him. Don't try to be anything you're not. Just be yourself. Acting one way or another (i.e. Flirty or cool) only let's him see that side of you so be your whole charming, friendly self right from the start to save him the trouble of trying to figure out who you really are.
I work with a bunch of guys and have gained a lot of insight into the male psyche in that situation. I would talk to him--feel out the situation and see how he reacts with you. If a guy is interested, you'll generally be able to tell. See what kinds of things he is saying and doing and base your action on that.
