Ok, There's this guy. I told him that I liked him, and thought that was that. But one day, when I was talking to him on AIM, he didn't respond, and then suddenly, he imed me, asking if I wanted a free hug. I typed in, " *Hug* Happy now? " And all he did was "lol-ed" and said he wanted a real hug. I replied with a "We'll see. " Then a few days, or a week later, I was coming out of church, and I saw him. I was talking to some friends and then he just yelled out my name because he was a few feet away from me, so I opened my arms into -ready-to-hug position, and was like, "HUG! " Then he laughed and did the same gesture, though I didn't get a real hug. And so I went back to talking to my friends. A few weeks after that encounter, I talked to him on AIM, and that day he was having an attitude, and I think with me. He said that after he knew me that all these people that I know, but he doesn't, all started saying Hi to him. And he mentioned especially this fat and short one, which he was sure was my friend. I was so angry with him that he could be so mean. I thought he was nice and fun to be with, but I saw his real side, he's not nice at all, I think it's just an outer shell to cover his cocky-ness.
We used to be friends, but now every time we see each other, we don't say anything to each other. I feel so bad ignoring him, but he seemed to move on, but to me it seems like he wanted to talk to me, and starts walking up to me, but then decides not to but goes my way and changes his path, so he knows I see him passing by me, and all that.
I'm just so confused. One day he acts all nice and fun, but the next, he acts all cocky and all the other stuff.
One time, before I noticed all his cocky-ness, it was a warm spring day, and I was hanging with my friends and eating some hot chips, and Him and his friends were following-walking the same way, and then when he called my name, I turned around, still sucking on my thumb because of the red powder, and offered me his drink, I shook my head no, and when I turned back to my friends, one of them said that he liked me because guys only do that gesture if they only takes an interest with a girl.
I don't know, all this is scrambled across my mind and I just need to find closure. I'm hoping you guys/gals can help with some insight and advice and help deciphering some of these gestures he's throwing at me.
Right now he is by far to young to know how to act and treat a lady. The sad thing is that you females have a huge step up when it comes to maturity. He is just putting on an act in front of his friends to show them that he is cool. I wish that I had a better reason, but this is something that you will most likely see again and again for about the next 3 or 4 years until the guys that you are around start to catch up in maturity. You hang in there.
Smittymd is right. He is still very immature. And he is trying to play it cool in front of his friends. He probably doesn't even know himself, if he likes you or not. The only way for him to realize how he really feels about u, is if he loses you. I would suggest to start ignoring him. And not IM him anymore and see what he does. If he really likes you, he will start bugging you. and try to get your attention. He might even ask you why you aren't talking to him. Then you can tell him he's been acting like a jerk lately. But, after days of ignoring him, if he just says, whatever, and doesn't even try to talk to you. then, forget him, and move on.
