no judging by his response you didn't freak him out. You did come on strong but its a good sign if that didn't scare him off. Bit surprised that he called himself a jerk, never met anyone who would describe themselves as that. Seems like you are doing all the work in the conversation though... is it normally like this/ do you speak face to face?

Yeah iv felt your pain many times before. Its always hard if you end up keeping the conversations going as you don't want to come off too clingy. But if your talking then I suppose it doesn't matter who starts the conversations, just keep being friendly and see where it goes. - 17 days ago

Definitely not! If he didn't want to keep in touch with you he wouldn't bother replying or would be very 'off' in the convversation, he also wouldn't have kept the conversation going afterwards. Best advice I can give is to think of some topics you can have a really good discussion about, maybe something at school? I know its sad, but if you can plan a conversation before hand then you can be in control of it and already have some jokes prepared to make him laugh. - 16 days ago

In my experience this probably means one of two things, either he isn't comfortable enough around you or he doesn't want his friends to know. Simple solution is for to approach him whilst he is with some of his friends and talk to him, it will give you a better chance to get to know his friends whilst he will become more comfortable with you, this can be really daunting though so you could try when he is just around 1-2 of his friends and not a massive crowd. - 15 days ago

I would strongly suggest that you don't say anything as strong as that. A relationship above all else must be a friendship and I wouldn't say something so confrontational to anyone. You can always joke in conversation about how you never talk much at school, like at the end of the conversation say... its been nice talking to you, face to face sometime :) or joke about him being your 'online friend'...
