Why does it always have to be us men to ask someone out? Why can't girls be the same way?

because that's just how it has been, and it is slowly changing girls ask guys more now, but sorry half of us will never ask a guy out that we like. I like this kid and omg just ask me out! I can't make the first move myself, I flirted, we texted I smile ah what else do you want' and now I am just waiting for you to say let go hang out! I don't want to seem easy or anything. I feel like if he does truly like me thn he will keep talking to me and make a move. If not than he wasn't that in to me

There`s nothing wrong with a girl making the first move, but a lot of girls including myself think that a guy will think it's weird, or at least his friends will. It's out of the ordinary, and it makes her seem desperate or at least way more interested than it does when just the guy makes the first move.

A girl making the first move is like saying 'i really really like you, and I would LOVE to go out with you`

a guy making the first move is like saying 'i think you're cute'

I see nothing wrong with girls asking out guys. But for some reason, a lot of the time I see questions like this on here, guys respond with, "That's the man's role, that would make the girl too aggressive, it's a turn off, it makes her too forward, she might seem slutty," etc. I don't get it. Guys get shy too, you shouldn't have to do all the work.

Probably because they think they'll be labeled a slut or "easy" and/or are afraid of being rejected.

But I agree, it doesn't matter anymore who asks who out. If you're interested in someone and don't know them to be taken, go for it!

The girls could be afraid coming over as "easy to get" and get a bad reputation.
