Honestly, if you're being yourself and he's not making any effort to try to pursue you, then you shouldn't go out of your way to try to catch him. He may be a decent guy, but if you have to work to attract him, then you're already starting out on the wrong foot. Make sure the guys you date like you for who you are, not for who you've made yourself up to be. By all means, do not try to allure him physically or compromise any of your morals. That'll only lead to you getting emotionally screwed up.
You're relatively young, so please just take your time with relationships and wait until a guy truly pursues, honors, and appreciates you for who you are. It may take time and it may be lonely, but in the end it's definitely worth it because you'll find that you haven't wasted a bunch of time on guys who weren't worth it. Plus, you won't have a lot of baggage from guys who weren't worth it that you have to work through with the guy who truly is worth it.
Agreed, however, I'd say that you should let this guy know at least you like him. Rather you believe a guy should pursue or the girl should. Some guys won't do it till they're sure the girl actually likes him. Don't "put yourself out there", but you can let him know in subtle ways that you are interested. - 9 months ago
