My friend said he stares at me a lot and smiles like a half smile but I don't see him because I'm not looking. Sometimes I think I see him but then later on I think I second guess myself. We talk sometimes but you think he may just have a crush on me. He also talks to a lot of girls. How can I get him to talk to me more.

Speaking from a guys perspective if I like a girl I'll look at her sometimes and if she sees me I'll even give her a smile. So from the sound of it he probably does like you. Guys can like multiple girls at once. If you like him give him a sign and maybe he'll tell you for sure and something can happen from there.
