Okay so me and this girl really clicked around fall 2007, we smiled a lot and talked and hung out and partied together, it was fun. This was in Cali and earlier 2008 I left but I told her I would come back to live there in fall 2008. Anyways I know she was interested in me but I didn't express my true feelings until the day I left. Anyways, a few days before I told her, I went over to her house and there was a guy in the bed (just talking). So when I left I told her that I liked her and if we could be together/go out when I came back. She said that she went out on one date with the guy (who was in the bed) but said that she didn't know about him and her. Anyways she said well when you come back we'll see. I'm thinking maybe I should just drop her when I go back or what do you guys think?
Not to be cold, but yes. You should "drop" her. She should not keep you on "stand by". It devalues YOU and she'll lose respect for you. I also don't like this "when you come back we'll see" business. It's obnoxious and it sounds like she thinks she has got you wrapped around her finger. If you decide to "drop" her, be prepared for her calling you and wondering why you aren't with her. She is totally expecting that right now (I'm a girl, trust me! ) and you have to be strong and resist; nobody should disrespect you like that!
I agree with redheadedgirl. You have better things to do then to wait around for a girl who responds to this with a "we'll see" crap. There are plenty of girls who would like to go with a guy who says they like them (not saying all girls, but you get the picture). Just try not to wait until the last minute to say how you really feel about someone. =]
