So in my previous email I mentioned I had a possibility of three dates. Turns out all three were fake or trying to scam me. Oh well. Anyways, there's this girl that comes to my work every once in awhile and was gonna try and get her email and/or her number. I don't want to scare her off and make it look like the employees hit on the customers. I'm looking for a clever way to pull this off and not make it seem like I'm a prick who hits on the attractive customers. Any ideas? Or should I just leave this alone?

Update: Well she stopped by again. Way too busy to talk. I looked straight at her and she smiled and waved. A co worker said the next time she stops by. Pay for her lunch. I added if she refuses, insist and in return I ask for her email. But in a subtle way.    8 months ago

Just go up to her one day and start small talk, maybe mention something about the place you work at (you don't mention what type of place it is so I'm at a loss for clever lines there) and/or items in a friendly, chill way. Has she ever given you any indication that she might find you attractive or might have an interest in you? I know that when I go a lot to a place (say the supermarket) it's usually because I have a little crush on one of the guys that work there but didn't really know how to approach him so I'd linger in his aisle and throw him a few glances, look at him directly in the eyes. I think there may have been interest on his part aswell but I figure just as you, he was probably scared of getting in trouble for hitting on a customer. So make sure she seems into you first before asking for her number, you don't know if she's a bit psycho and runs screaming for the manager. Look at her straight in the eyes (not in a scary way) and smile flirtatiously so she knows that you find her hot and aren't just being a friendly employee.

Try talking to her a few times before flat out asking for her email/number, that way she feels comfortable around you and you have some sort ground established.
