Is asking my friend out instead of me a sign or rejection? Even when he knows I care for him, when she doesn't?

Update: Well, my friend rejected him, basically because she didn't like him and also knew that I did. It doesn't matter anymore, it's just irritating that now he wants to talk to me and be my "friend". How do I get rid of him, since he's such a jerk?    7 months ago

Basically, yes. Sorry. There's an outside chance that maybe he's trying to make you jealous, but I doubt it.

On the other hand, don't compare yourself and your friend, especially how differently he treats you. That will just lead to problems in your friendship. I would just assume the guy is a player.

The best way to "get rid of him" is to ignore him and be positive/outgoing to other people

Yeah if he knew how you felt about him then that's rejection. Sorry girl. Rejection sucks but it'll only make you stronger! You don't need him in your life if he's going to be like that. He could also be trying to make you jealous unless he really cares for your friend.

Yes that means you were rejected. I'm very sorry and I know it hurts. A good way to deal with rejection is to pretend you didn't want him in the first place and try to get distracted with other people or things

Yes, that is a sign of rejection AND a sign that the guy is a jerk anyway. Don't waste your time on him!
