There's this perfect guy.. and I'm this ok girl... though I'm quite overweight... anyways lets call him Jake. This guy is every girls dream guy. And basically I'm just this fun, sweet, kinda smart and sporty girl, most guys like.. I'm more of a friend towards them. Anyways.. its been 3 years since Jake has been showing signals of his liking me... I'm in love too. It all started by my best friends all falling for him and me trying to play matchmaker. But I fell for him. And this year in grade 11, he has been doing things like never before and it scares me but thrills me too death.
Ok that was the overview, now for the main part. One day, Jake is this hopeless romantic who can't live a second without a glance at me, with sharing eye contact for seconds on end.. and for laughing and smiling with me. But the next, especially the first day of the school week after the weekend, or after a long holiday, or before a long weekend or holiday starts... especially on those days, he never does anything. Sometimes, I get really unhappy and try to look at him.. but he just runs from the class never spends an extra moment. Or else totally ignores. and when I look at him, at the same time he looks at me, he would just jerk his head away, like I did something wrong. That really hurts. Why does he do this?
added info. - guys and girls don't talk in our class. - he never done this before to any other girl - he has many pretty girls after him - he watches me like I'm his life or something, like I'm the sweetest in the planet, - his friends pay more attention to me. - I think he likes me. - He gets weird, especially on Mondays and Fridays, the beginning and the last day of the school week. and usually I show that I'm hurt, so at the end of the day he gets battery-charged again and does all the stuff, but at the beginning he is horrible. -if he gets absent, its worse,... he hates me for days on end. (he still looks, but makes sure I don't see... if I do, he gives me a death glance like I'm gonna eat him or something)
Most likely no one will answer, because its so confusing..But please people if you have an idea help me here... plus... why don't my friends notice him looking at me... we don't match in looks... but...
OMG! This sounds exactly like me and my friends! You totally would be if they all didn't hate my crush or have boyfriends. Any who, the guy I like is exactly the same way. He'll be sweet to you and send signals all week Monday through Friday, and after the weekend, vacation, whatever he blanks you and it seems like you guys start from square one and it's the same song and dance all over again. It's frustrating and you know that somewhere, even if it's not strong, he's at least a little interested but he doesn't act that way.
I don't really know what advice to give you because I'm going through the same thing myself, I just want you to know that I understand. I mean, if I was going to try and guess what his deal is, he could be trying to figure out what he wants with you and stuff. Sometimes I think my crush debates whether he should go out with me because I'm not super skinny (I'm a size 12, but I've got a lot of curves) and I'm a weird mix of shy, artsy, sporty, loud, and a bunch of other things. Also, because I have a hard time talking to him and I try to play it cool and not freak out I think that he may get the impression I don't like him. In reality you could be doing the same thing. You have to take a step back and look at yourself. I go home and realize that even though he didn't talk to me after the weekend, I totally ignored my crush Thursday, even when he seemed like he wanted my attention. Even if we have our best intentions at heart, us shy girls can seem hot and cold. Especially if you have a bubbly personality but you are shy when it comes to boys which sounds like what you described earlier. If he sees you laughing with your friends but you can only look at him and communitcate that way, he may get the impression you don't like him that much. As for him, he might also be insecure. Maybe he thinks you'll reject him. There's a million reasons for the change in mood. Maybe he's frustrated because you two aren't going anywhere and both of you are afraid to make things happen. I don't have the answers about what to do, but I wanted to give you some ideas because I totally understand where you are coming from. If you need to talk, you can message me.
OMG.. yes yes.. this is exactly what I'm going through... and yes. the feeling SUX>>>> you know.. you might be right.. maybe we do the same thing... Wow.. you are just like me.... and you really understand.. I hope you are right... because every time he does this I go beserk wondering whether he still likes me or not.. Well, all I can say is... thanks a lot for answering.... It means a lot to me!!!! - 2 days ago
Have you ever just asked him what was going on or if he liked you? I mean seriously, have things changed all that much from when I was in school? You have an interest in someone and they may have an interest in you but stop with the "Game" crap already and just go talk to him. It will prove in the run of it all to benefit the both of you.
Well he is pretty scary.. and I don't know.. none of the girls in our class has talked to him. Period. How can I possibly ask such a thing... We have never spoken... even a word... - 18 days ago
