From my experience, playing hard to get usually helps, and alot! Just don't over do it. You can't be hard to get forever. Or else the guy will just simply give up.

Im going to be realistic right now, so don't get offended. But if he's this kind of guy, he'll probably also be looking for that kind of a girl. Or if he isn't looks are still going to play an important role. Basically this guy is going to go for the best girl he can get. So if your already good looking with a good body you just need to have a great personality. However, if not, I'd say work on yourself. I mean why would he get a girl with just a good personally, when he can get (if he's as you describe) a girl whose beautiful, hot, has a great personality and is not a slut?
