I honestly don't get it. Any advice?

Even without jealousy in the equation, when another guy shows up, the first guy's going to switch to "friend mode" without a doubt. "Being sweet with a girl" mode is great, but when there's another guy right there it just feels creepy to both guys. Friend mode is much more comfortable.

If you want to keep him in "sweet mode" then spend more time together with him, without the other guys.

Maybe he feels the other guy is competition so I think he does like you but if you keep bringin other guys around, especially when you like this one...then he may just back off but yeah saying the other girls were hot was just trying to make you feel jealous cause he was jealous another dude came over.

i think your best bet is not to ask does he like me but instead hang out with him and be with him more so you can learn if he likes u. here may give you the wrong message. also don't be pushy to hang out

how would you feel if you were at his house and he brought another girl over while you two were just hanging out. Plus, there's nothing wrong with him saying others girls are hot.

he's probably just trying to make you jealous and see if you react to his comments on other females.
