I've been hanging out with this girl in my class lately. She's a shy type. She's not the kind to have 30 guys falling for her at a time but she's decently good looking and is one of the nicest people I know. But because of that I don't know if she's just putting up with me or if she legitimately likes me.
What is the best way to distinguish between whether she likes me or if she is just being nice to me?
Well, just talk to her more and try to find out more about her. If she blushes around you, smiles for no reason, or tries to find excuses to be with you, then she likes you. One sure sign a girl likes you is she'll blush a lot.

Well I think you should try and make the first move. Try to be alone with her. Bump into her, tickle her. And if she smiles and blushes. Then she is so into you. And if that's the case ask her out on a date right then and there.
