I feel your pain, shy girl. It means a lot that you're shy and he still talks to you. When you say that he's the only one you talk to, you also mean that he's the only one who talks to you--which is different than everyone else. Google 'flirting body language;' I'd give you a good learning website, but it's against this site's regulations.
To let him know you like him, I'd do stuff like smiling at him, using flirty body language (which sounds more ridiculous than it is--it's actually subtle, if done well) and talking to him. Ask for his myspace; it's not as hard as phone numbers, and communicate with him. If you don't have a myspace, it works just as well for e-mail addresses and IM usernames.
I think that you're the kind of person who would value a kind of friendship/romance--being really emotionally close to the guy you like, knowing everything about him and being very open and honest with him. So work on developing a close friendship, even though that's usually looked at as the death of all possibility of romance. Just make sure he knows that the possibility of romance is still there--again, body language will help you here.
