Just pay attention to him, smile, and joke around a bit. If your facing him, he'll notice your paying attention. When you joke around or talk with him, lightly touch his arm. A little eye contact never hurt anyone either, about 5 seconds or less is the comfortable time to hold eye contact. If he returns your gaze, then he's interested in you. Good luck :)

Just a question. What if eye contact throws off a shy guy and he has trouble returning your gaze? Does that mean he doesn't like you? - 7 months ago

Not if he's really shy. The more he warms up to you the longer he'll be able to hold eye contact:) usually - 7 months ago

When your walking next to them, you can gently bump their hand, and it shows you want to hold their hand. And smiling at laughing at their jokes.
