How do I tell if he really likes me?

I work at a tree and plant nursery as a cashier, and this guy that I work with who is also a cashier has been giving me little signals that he likes me. Last Saturday I started talking to him and he seemed like he was trying to impress me, talking about how how he dresses nicely off the job and talking about his shoe collection. Then he spent almost fifteen minutes after he got off, so that he could talk to me for a bit. I am 18 and he is 23, and I'm wondering if he's too old, and if I should continue to show interest and allow him to pursue me. What do you think?

I would bet he is somewhat interested. He wouldn't justify his appearance to you if he didn't care what you think.
